HDFC Bank has reportedly joined hands with Apple to offer discounts on a range of iPhone and iPad models in India. Under the scheme, if you purchase Apple products through authorized offline retailers, you can avail up to Rs 10,000 cashback.
As Gadgets 360 reports, if you purchase iPad variants on EMIs using your HDFC Bank debit or credit card, you can avail a cashback of Rs 10,000 while the purchase of select iPhone models will get you Rs 7,000 in cashback. The offer starts today and will be valid until February 14, 2018. The offer is not applicable on online purchases.
Apple iPad 9.7 inch
Here’s how the offer works. An Apple iPad 9.7-inch Wi-Fi-only model with 32GB internal storage has MOP of Rs 25,000. But after applying the cashback scheme, it will effectively cost you Rs 15,000. All other iPad models which are available in India will also be eligible for the Rs 10,000 cashback scheme.
As for iPhone models, the iPhone SE, which has MOP of Rs 22,000, will cost Rs 15,000 while the iPhone 6 will cost Rs 20,000, down from its MOP of Rs 27,000. It is to be noted that some retailers may apply the offer cashback at MOP, which is the lowest price at which the retailer can sell, while some may offer it at MRP. To compare, the MRP of the iPhone 6 is Rs 31,000, for the iPhone SE, it is Rs 26,000, and for the iPad 9.7-inch model, it is Rs 28,000.
iPhone SE on Amazon and Flipkart
If one is to buy these models online, Amazon and Flipkart, both list the iPhone SE at Rs 19,999. Both platforms are offering exchange schemes on the purchase as well. On Amazon, you can avail up to Rs 15,652 discount on the exchange of eligible device, while on Flipkart you can avail as much as Rs 18,000 off on exchange. Similar offers are applicable on other Apple devices as well.
Meanwhile, as part of a separate partnership, HDFC Bank is offering cashback of up to Rs 12,000 on select iPhone models, including the newer iPhone X, iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus, and more. The offer is currently ongoing and will be live until March 11. This offer is also exclusive to offline retailers. Except for the iPhone 7, iPhone 7 Plus, iPhone 6s, and iPhone 6s Plus, all variants are subject to interest depending on the EMI period.
