As expected, Apple has today updated the MacBook Air with latest generation processors, but has kept the styling intact. The laptop now gets a 1.4GHz Intel Haswell dual-core Core i5 (with Turbo Boost up to 2.7GHz) processor, an upgrade over the erstwhile 1.3GHz version. Apple has also slashed the prices of all four models by Rs 2,000 in India. So the base 128GB MacBook Air 11-inch is now available for Rs 65,900 and the 256GB for 79,900. The MacBook Air 13-inch is now available for Rs 72,900 for the 128GB version and Rs 86,900 for the 256GB version.
Apart from that, all specifications remain unchanged. Base specifications for the laptop include a 128GB SSD and 4GB of RAM, while the graphics support is still provided by Intel HD Graphics 5000. The MacBook Air 11 comes with a 11.6-inch screen with a native resolution of 1366×768 while the MacBook Air 13 comes with a 1440×900 screen.
