Apple reveals the top apps, games, music and films on its Indian Store in 2013

Apple has revealed its “Best Of…” list, which includes the top performing apps, games, music and films across various categories on its Store this year. This year’s winners list includes the usual suspects like Temple Run and Subway Surfers and some surprises like Duolingo and WWF Together.

The year 2013’s iPad game of the year is Frogland’s Badland and the runners-up are Simogo’s Device 6 and Kevin Ng’s Impossible Road, while the iPad app of the year is Native Instrument’s Traktor DJ, followed by The Tinybop’ Human Body and World Wildlife Fund’s WWF Together.

The iPhone game of the year goes to Vlambeer’s Ridiculous Fishing – A Tale of Redemption, with Device 6 and Space Inch’s Say the Same Thing deemed as runners-up. The iPhone app of the year goes to Duolingo’s language app followed by ProtoGeo’s Moves and Originator Inc.’s Endless Alphabet.

The top free games on these devices include Temple Run 2, Facebook and Skype among others, while the top paid apps include Temple Run Oz, Temple Run: Brave and Where’s my Water? among others.

On the India iTunes Store, Aashiqui 2 was selected as the music album of the year. The top selling albums this year include Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani and Raanjhaana, while the top selling songs include Tum Hi HoSunn Raha HaiBadtameez Dil and Lungi Dance.

In films, the editors chose Bhaag Milkha BhaagYeh Jawaani Hai DeewaniBombay Talkies as their top choices, while the top selling films on the store included Bombay TalkiesLife of PiArgoThe Bourne Legacy and Vicky Donor among others.
