This week Reliance Jio has slowly started to rollout its much talked-about Jio Preview offers to different smartphone brands. After being exclusive to LYF-branded smartphones, the preview offer is now compatible with 4G smartphones from companies like Samsung, LG, Asus, Panasonic, Micromax, YU, Alcatel and TCL. Getting in on to the new fad, people are seeing queuing up for hours outside Reliance Digital stores to get their hands on a Jio SIM card. This craze reminds us of the insane queues we see outside Apple Stores every year after the release of a new iPhone.
Social media is buzzing with photos of stores across the country, with a hoard of people lined up outside. There are posts of people outside stores in Dhanbad in Jharkhand, Lucknow, Patna and other cities as well. Not just the queues outside stores, the madness is evident on the social media as well, where people have incessantly been discussing and sharing their experience about the new network’s 4G preview.

If you look at the web search for Reliance Jio on Google Trends of last seven days, the searches can be seen zigzagging their way up constantly. And by region, the highest search regarding the preview offer is seen in Jharkhand, Odisha, Punjab, Haryana and Dadar and Nagar Haveli.
As a part of Reliance Jio‘s 90-day Preview Offer, users with a Jio SIM card can get unlimited access to data, calls and messages. In order to get the preview on the compatible smartphones, users would need to download the MyJio app from the Google Play Store. In the app, users will see an option to ‘Get Jio SIM,’ after which they will have to fill in their details like name, and phone number in order to generate a unique code. Users will then need to submit this code, along with the relevant documents at a nearby Reliance Digital or Reliance Digital Xpress Mini to get their hands on a Jio SIM card. The last step would be to dial 1977 to activate the Jio SIM. Also read: No, Reliance Jio is not launching a Rs 199 smartphone
