Asus ROG Gaming smartphone may be launching in India in September

Asus ROG Phone comes with a 6-inch full HD+ AMOLED display with a 90 Hz fresh rate.

Taiwanese electronics giant and smartphone maker Asus may be planning to launch its latest gaming flagship, the Asus ROG Gaming smartphone in the Indian market. The company announced the device just before COMPUTEX 2018 to show the competition that Asus has got it when it comes to gaming devices regardless of the form factor of the category. During the announcement, the company did not reveal any details about when the company is planning to bring the device to the Indian market. According to a recent report by The Mobile Indian, “sources close to the development” informed that Asus may be planning to launch the device in September in the Indian market.

According to the report, the company has not revealed any other details about the pricing or what accessories the company will launch along with the ROG Gaming smartphone. To recap the announcement, Asus ROG  Gaming smartphone comes with a 6-inch full HD+ display with AMOLED panel with a 90Hz fresh rate. Asus has also added HDR support to the display along with response time of 1 ms. Moving to the specifications, Asus has overclocked the device SoC to ensure that the processor is running at the most optimum speed.

The company has added Snapdragon 845 SoC with an octa-core CPU and Adreno 630 GPU. The ROG Gaming Smartphone will also come with 8GB RAM and 512GB internal storage. Asus has also added a 4,000 mAh battery so that the device can meet all your gaming needs. The company has also added a new technology by the name of Asus HyperCharge and claims that it can charge the device up to 60 percent in just 33 minutes. The device runs Android 8.1 Oreo-based Asus ZEN UI. The Asus ROG gaming smartphone runs on Android 8.1 Oreo with Asus ZEN UI on top.

The Asus ROG Gaming smartphone comes with a dual-camera setup with a 12-megapixel and 8-megapixel sensor. The device will also come with an 8-megapixel camera sensor at the front for selfies. Connectivity options include a Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, USB Type-C port and a 3.5mm headphone jack. The phone also comes with stereo front-firing speakers, placed above and below the display.
