Asus sells 40,000 Zenfones in 4 days in India


Asus entered the Indian smartphone market last week with its Zenfone series of smartphones that include the Zenfone 4, the Zenfone 5 and the Zenfone 6. Today, the Taiwanese company announced that it had sold 40,000 Zenfones in four days on Flipkart and through retail stores.

“We are overwhelmed with the response received within just 4 days of the launch,” Peter Chang, Regional Head — South Asia and Country Manager — Asus India said. “The reaction from the Indian masses has been astonishing owing to our partnership with Flipkart and our offline channels.”

The Zenfone 4 is an affordable smartphone priced at Rs 5,999, the Zenfone 5 is priced at Rs 9,999, while the Zenfone 6 is priced at Rs 16,999. As far as specifications are concerned, the Zenfone 4 features a 4-inch WVGA TFT display, 1.2GHz Intel Atom Z2520 processor, 1GB of RAM, 4GB internal storage, microSD card, 5-megapixel camera and a 1,170mAh battery.

The Zenfone 5, on the other hand, features a 5-inch 720p display, 1.6GHz Intel Atom Z2560 processor, 2GB of RAM and 8GB of internal memory. It also includes an 8-megapixel rear camera, 2-megapixel front facing camera, and a 2,050mAh battery. Lastly, the Zenfone 6 sports a 6-inch 720p display and runs on the Intel Atom Z2580 processor clocked at 2GHz. It will come in 8GB and 16GB variants with 1GB or 2GB of RAM. The Zenfone has a 13-megapixel f/2.0 PixelMaster rear camera and a 2-megapixel front camera. It comes with a 3,230mAh battery.

    its nice to see such growth through e-commerce channels else i doubt they would have such figures with a regular brick motar launch

    Cool, now Asus the great big job for you is to open service centers in major places across the country to satisfy them. Selling the product in not your only job, put up service centers to serve their issues (if any).
