Asus is set to launch its flagship smartphone, the Zenfone 5Z in the Indian market. The smartphone will challenge OnePlus 6 and Honor 10 and will be launched at an event in New Delhi. The launch event is set to begin at 12.30PM and the company has already confirmed that the smartphone will be exclusive to Flipkart.
Asus Zenfone 5Z was first announced at Mobile World Congress in February and is being launched in India today. It comes just two months after the launch of Zenfone Max Pro M1, a mid-range device designed in collaboration with Flipkart. Asus is making a comeback to the Indian smartphone market, which has been taken over by the likes of Chinese smartphone makers. As per reports, the Asus Zenfone 5Z could be priced at Rs 29,999 for the base model. The premium model with 8GB of RAM and 256GB storage could be priced at Rs 36,999.
If this pricing turns out to be true then Asus might have a winner in its hands. It might also succeed in challenging OnePlus 6, which is currently the best smartphone in the sub-Rs 40,000 price segment. Can it really challenge OnePlus 6, we will need to see.
We will be bringing you the latest updates from Asus’ launch event in real-time. So stay tuned!
