Asus recently launched a whole bunch of smartphones in India including the Zenfone 2 Deluxe, Zenfone 2 Laser, Zenfone Selfie, and also announced the Zenfone Max. If these weren’t enough, the company it seems is close to launching yet another smartphone in India.
The yet unannounced Zenfone Go has been accidentally listed on Flipkart, under an ‘Out of Stock’ badge. This was first spotted by GSMArena. We first heard about this smartphone last month, which is supposed to be an affordable Zenfone.
As far as specifications go, the smartphone flaunts a 5-inch HD (1280×720 pixels) IPS display, and is powered by a 1.3GHz MediaTek MT6580 quad-core processor paired with 2GB of RAM. Also on offer is 16GB internal storage, which can be expanded up to 64GB using a microSD card.
The smartphone also features an 8-megapixel rear camera, 2-megapixel selfie camera up front, and a 2,070mAh battery. Connectivity options include dual-SIM card slots, 3G support (no 4G LTE), Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, and on the software front, it runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop out-of-the-box wrapped under ZenUI.
There’s no word yet on when Asus plans on launching Zenfone Go in India. Considering the list of specifications, it is safe to assume that the smartphone will be priced in the sub-Rs 10,000 segment.
