Asus Zenfone Max Pro M1 will go on sale today exclusively on Flipkart. At the launch of Zenfone 5Z in India yesterday, Asus announced that the 6GB RAM variant of its Zenfone Max Pro M1 will be available this month. However, on today’s sale at 12PM, the smartphone will only be available in 3GB RAM and 4GB RAM variants.

To recall, the Zenfone Max Pro M1 was launched as the challenger to Xiaomi’s Redmi Note 5 Pro in April. Asus claims the Zenfone Max Pro M1 has become the best-selling smartphone in the sub-Rs 15,000 price segment and plans to ramp up production so the device becomes easily available in the coming months. The smartphone is the first major attempt by Asus to reclaim its place among top five smartphone players in the country.

Asus Zenfone Max Pro M1 Price and Offers

The Zenfone Max Pro M1 starts at Rs 10,999 for the base model with 3GB RAM and 32GB storage. The variant with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage is priced at Rs 12,999, which makes it cheaper than Redmi Note 5 Pro priced at Rs 14,999. With the purchase of Zenfone Max Pro M1, Flipkart is offering up to Rs 12,000 off on exchange and complete mobile protection at Rs 299. There is 10 percent with Axis Bank Buzz Credit card while Reliance Jio users can avail additional data up to 100GB.

Asus ZenFone Max Pro M1 Specifications and features

In terms of specifications, the Asus ZenFone Max Pro M1 features a 5.99-inch LCD display with a resolution of 2160 x 1080 pixels. The display supports the taller 18:9 aspect ratio, which is becoming across smartphones in all price bands. Like the Redmi Note 5 Pro, the Zenfone Max Pro M1 is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 chipset. It comes in two storage variants – 3GB RAM variant with 32GB storage and a 4GB RAM variant with 64GB storage.

Asus has also fitted the Zenfone Max Pro M1 with dual rear camera setup. On the back of the device, there is a combination of 13-megapixel and 5-megapixel dual cameras that support bokeh mode for portraits. The front camera uses an 8-megapixel sensor with f/2.2 aperture and has a dedicated LED flash for brighter selfies in low-light. The Redmi Note 5 Pro has a better 20-megapixel selfie shooter with LED flash but the rear cameras are almost on par.

With Zenfone Max Pro M1, Asus has ditched its own ZenUI in favor of stock Android experience. Since its release, the smartphone has received a number of software updates that brought support for VoLTE on all carriers, face unlock using the front camera and latest security update. One of the USP of the device is its massive 5,000mAh battery, which is larger than the 4,000mAh battery pack found on Redmi Note 5 Pro. At a starting price of Rs 10,999, Asus has priced the Zenfone Max Pro M1 more competitively and it will be available in black and grey color.
