Asus Zenfone Max Pro M1 sale
Asus’ latest Zenfone Max Pro M1 was up for pre-orders for the first time today on Flipkart. The company claims that demand for the smartphone was overwhelming, and there were more pre-orders than it had expected. If you are looking at buying the smartphone, you can try your luck on May 10. Buyers will be able to choose from two Zenfone Max Pro M1 variants – 3GB RAM model priced at Rs 10,999, and 4GB RAM model priced at Rs 12,999.
OnePlus 6 specifications leaked
Earlier today, the OnePlus 6 was spotted on HDFC Bank’s SmartBuy page along with its full set of specifications and features. But looking at them, there are quite a few discrepancies with what has been leaked and revealed before. Hence it is difficult to really believe the listing. Additionally, an alleged retail box of the OnePlus 6 Marvel Avengers Edition also surface online ahead of launch.
HTC U12+ launch date revealed
HTC today took to Twitter to tease a launch event for May 23, where it is widely expected to launch the much-rumored U12+ smartphone. The HTC U12+, unsurprisingly, will boast top-of-the-line specifications and features. It remains to be seen how it will be able to compete against flagship devices from the likes of Samsung, Huawei, Apple, and LG.
The day kicked off with news about Amazon allegedly offering around $12 billion for a 60 percent stake in Flipkart. Incidentally, this is the amount Walmart too offered to acquired the Indian e-commerce site. In the meanwhile, Flipkart has announced its ‘Big Shopping Days’ sale, which will take place between May 13-16.
Aadhaar data breach
Recently, there have been reports about Aadhaar data breach that will no doubt have citizens worried. These reports claimed that Aadhaar details were being sold for as low as Rs 500. But UIDAI has strongly refuted these claims, saying that the enrolment software comes with necessary safeguards and checks to protect against any manipulation.
Cambridge Analytica to shut down
The firm that is in the midst of the massive Facebook data leak scandal is on the verge of shutting down. Cambridge Analytica continues to deny any wrongdoing, and claims that all the negative media coverage has left it with no clients and mounting legal fees which has forced it to resort to closure.
