Earlier this month, BlackBerry released the BB 10.1 SDKs for developers to test the new features introduced on the updated OS. The folks at CrackBerry have now compiled a list of all the new and improved features that are expected when the Canadian company finally releases BB 10.1.
According to the list, BB 10.1 will introduce new features like HDR camera mode, PIN-to-PIN messaging in the BlackBerry Hub, tweaked text picker and an improved way to check for updates in BlackBerry World. Other features included are the ability to fully unlock the phone using the power button and also the ability to paste phone numbers directly into the dialer.
In addition to the above, as we had reported earlier BB 10.1 will also bring features like Mnemonic Phone Dialing, BB Mobile Voice System Support, Word Prediction, Type N Go, Dark Theme Support, Out-of-Box-Experience and Smartcard Support among others.
To remind you, BlackBerry has already warned that some of these features will behave differently on the Q10 when compared to the Z10 because of the presence of a physical keyboard. There’s also no way of confirming if all these features will arrive together as some of them may only be for testing purposes.
