BlackBerry’s 10.1 OS update which has promised a lot of new features through earlier leaks, has seemed to have arrived on select BlackBerry Z10 devices. The folks at GSMArena have been tipped about the roll out in Philippines, with a global rollout soon to follow.
While there’s been official announcement, users in Philippines seemed to have been notified about the update, which requires a download of about 1GB. Though the update notification isn’t accompanied by a change-log, it is no secret what we can expect from the update.
As we have previously reported, the update is likely to introduce new features like HDR camera mode, PIN-to-PIN messaging in the BlackBerry Hub, tweaked text picker and an improved way to check for updates in BlackBerry World.
In addition to the above, users are also likely to get features like Mnemonic Phone Dialing, BB Mobile Voice System Support, Word Prediction, Type N Go, Dark Theme Support, Out-of-Box-Experience and Smartcard Support among others.
We should remind you though, that there’s no way of confirming if all these features will arrive together as some of them may only be for testing purposes.
