BlackBerry is making sure it covers all its bases before the launch of what is easily its biggest launch till date in India— the BlackBerry Z10. With its present and potential customers in mind, the Canadian company is strengthening its service infrastructure in the country and has opened up 100 new service centers across 80 cities.
These service centers, the company says, will be run by HCL Infosystems and Redington and their main aim will be to resolve customer complaints in a day. Unlike before when a complaint had to be redressed through an IT manager thus taking anywhere between 3-5 days to resolve an issue, the service centers will be more direct now and try resolving the issue on the spot.
“This is first time we are embarking upon setting up such centers. Eighty per cent of the time the complaint is not about the product but more about a feature which the user does not understand. At these centers, you can give your handset for repair as well as clarify your queries about features,” Sunil Dutt, Managing Director, BlackBerry India told HBL.
BlackBerry is set to launch the BB Z10 later this month in India.
