Apple’s new iPad was launched on March 7 and is currently available in 10 countries – US, Canada, UK, Germany, France, Switzerland, Japan, Singapore, Hong Kong, and Australia. While people from other countries have to either wait for the device to get launched in their country or can get it from some other place where its available, of course in a legal way. But it seems a few folks in China were opting for the illegitimate way out and were trying to smuggle a few units of the new iPad using special bags. As you can see in the image above, these two Chinese men used bags with double pockets to hide the device and thought that tablet will not come into the officer’s notice due to its thin profile. Of course, they were apprehended.
The new iPad has been an instant success and has sold a record breaking number of over 3 million units during its launch weekend. No doubt people do wish to own a device like this but bringing such things in to your country and that too in such a shady way is clearly unacceptable. Methinks probably that’s why our mommy says, “Patience is virtue”.
