BSNL and Pantel launch Android tablet called PentaT-Pad IS7O1C for Rs 4,999

BSNL and Pantel have launched a new Android tablet in the Indian market called the Penta T-Pad IS7O1C for Rs 4,999. The device will have a 7-inch display with a resolution of 800×480 pixels, a 1GHz ARM Cortex A8 processor, 6 hours of battery backup, 512MB of RAM, 4GB of internal storage, 0.3 megapixel camera, microSD card slot and a USB 2.0 and microUSB port. The Penta T-Pad will also support USB 3G dongles, like most low cost tablets.

Previously, Pantel had launched three Android tablets between the range of Rs 3,000 to Rs 14,000. India Today claims that BSNL has already obtained one lakh pre-bookings for the tablet.
