BSNL has partnered with Champion to launch the SQ 241 and SQ 281 feature phones priced for Rs 1,399 and Rs 1,699 respectively. BSNL will be bundling its services with both of these phones and will offer 1,200 minutes of free talk time on BSNL to BSNL calls.
The carrier had recently also launched new smartphones, tablet and a feature phone powered by Pantel, all of which came bundled up with BSNL services including free data packs as well as voice calling minutes.
The BSNL Champion SQ 241 is a dual SIM phone with 2.4-inch display. It features video and music players and FM Radio, as well as a VGA camera, and microSD card support. Users will be able to store 200 messages and 500 contacts. It also offers GPRS and Bluetooth connectivity.
The BSNL Champion SQ 281 too comes with dual-SIM compatibility. It has a 2.7-inch display and sports a 1.3-megapixel rear camera. Connectivity options in the phone include Bluetooth and GPRS. It also has a memory card slot, FM player, a music and video player-cum-recorder, a 1,800mAh battery, 3.5 mm audio jack, and additional features like a torch light.
This deal between the state-owned telecom operator and Champion also include other devices like smartphones, tablets, data cards and wireless networking products, all of which will be launched with pre-bundled BSNL services.
