State-owned telecom player BSNL has increased the FUP limit of three broadband plans to keep up with the competition in the market. The three FTTH broadband plans have their upper limit increased by 50GB. This could be a result of the new launches in the broadband sphere by Reliance Jio.
The plans getting the new boost in FUP limit include BSNL Fibro BBG ULD 1045 CS48, BSNL Fibro BBG ULD 1395 CS49 and BSNL Fibro BBG ULD 1895 CS129. These plans are priced at Rs 1,045, Rs 1,395 and Rs 1,895, the speeds offered by these plans are 30Mbps, 40Mbps and 50Mbps, respectively.
The base BSNL FTTH broadband plan that costs Rs 1,045, previously had FUP of 100GB that has now been increased to 150GB with speeds of up to 30Mbps. The plan that costs Rs 1,395 now has FUP limit of 200GB, up from 150GB with speeds up to 40Mbps. And the premium plan of Rs 1,895 now has FUP limit of 250GB increased from 200GB with maximum speed of up to 50Mbps.
Apart from these, these BSNL FTTH Broadband plans also offer unlimited voice calls to other BSNL numbers, unlimited voice calls to any network between 10:30PM and 06:00AM and free voice calling on Sundays.

The existing users of these plans will receive the revised FUP benefits from the next monthly cycle. But new customers will receive the benefits from now onwards. According to BSNL, the plan is limited to the Kerala circle as of now, but it might go pan-India soon.
