Canon launches EOS 700D for Rs 53,995

Canon has launched the EOS 700D DSLR camera in India for Rs 53,995. The camera is available via Canons’s website, and the price is obviously for the body only and no lenses are part of the package.

The camera comes with a  18-megapixel CMOS sensor. As far as the format support is concerned, the camera is capable of shooting JPEG, RAW images and can simultaneously record both like all of its other DSLR models. The camera offers a shutter speed range of 1/4000 second to 30 seconds with range varying between shooting mode and offers a continuous shooting speed at 5fps.

The EOS 700D offers an autofocus with a 9-point cross-type focus points that make up the AF system for better focussing irrespective of landscape of portrait positions.

Those willing to shoot videos on the camera can record full HD videos with 1920×1080 pixels. It features a pop up flash with 17mm lens angle of view. On memory front, the camera offers support for SD memory card, SDHC memory card, SDXC memory card and is compatible with UHS-I as well. There is a 3-inch TFT color liquid-crystal monitor with touch capabilities given on the camera. The camera measures 133.1 x 99.8 x 78.8mm and weighs 525 grams.

    A smartphone camera will never be able to replace a DSLR or mirror less camera. The maximum they can do is replace a point and shoot.
