CES 2018: Asus Zenfone Max Plus (M1) with 18:9 aspect ratio display launched, priced around Rs 14,500

In the ongoing CES 2018 tech show, Asus has announced the price of the Asus Zenfone Max Plus (M1) smartphone, which was unveiled last year in November. The company announced that the smartphone will be available in the US for $229 (Rs 14,500 approximately) in February. The smartphone will be available in two color choice – Azure Silver and Deepsea Black.

The Zenfone Max Plus (M1) sports a metal body design with a fingerprint sensor located at the back of the phone. The USP of the phone is its dual camera setup and 18:9 aspect ratio display. The smartphone is available in two storage variants – 16GB and 32GB paired with 3GB of RAM.

The smartphone features a 5.7-inch IPS display with a full HD+ (1080×2160 pixels) resolution and an 18:9 aspect ratio. Under the hood, the smartphone is powered by a MediaTek MT6750T SoC. Additionally, there is a microSD card slot to expand the storage up to 256GB.

The smartphone sports a dual-camera setup at the rear with the combination 16-megapixel and an 8-megapixel sensor. Up front, there is an 8-megapixel camera sensor with f/2.0 aperture lens. The Zenfone Max Plus (M1) is backed by a 4,130mAh battery, and the company claims it can deliver up to 26 hours of talktime on 3G.

On the connectivity front, the smartphone supports Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, A-GPS, and micro-USB port. On the software front, the device runs on Android 7.0 Nougat-based ZenUI 4.0 on top.
