At the ongoing Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2018 in Las Vegas, Samsung introduced a new feature for smart TVs which makes it easier for you to set up the device and log in using your Android or iOS smartphone. Called ‘effortless login’, the feature is part of Samsung’s new seamless device experiences for the smart home.

Samsung says that starting 2018, its smart TVs will create a connected fabric between devices to provide an effortless login for users from the moment the TV is unboxed. The feature basically refers to syncing the information you already have on your phone, such as Wi-Fi details, to your smart TV.

Once the automatic setup is done, the smart TV will be already connected to the internet and will be in sync with all your favorite apps, Phone Arena reports. So let’s say you use Spotify, the smart TV, which is synced, will then allow convenient login. In addition to that, searching for content gets easier thanks to Bixby.

Going forward, support for Facebook Video, Hulu, Netflix and other apps will also be added. Samsung Smart TVs will also operate on a single connected cloud platform which will serve as a dashboard to monitor and control other connected devices as well such as the Family Hub refrigerator.
