Samsung seems to have planned a lot for the upcoming CES 2018. After announcing C-Lab project including smart glasses, and portable directional speakers ahead of CES, the company has now unveiled the Notebook 7 Spin multi-functional laptop. Samsung says that it will showcase the notebook at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) starting next week. This will be the upgraded version of the original Notebook 7 launched two years back.
Samsung Notebook 7 Spin comes with new features like additional quad-core eight-gen Intel Core i5 processor and support for an Active Pen stylus. Samsung has notified that the Active Pen will be sold separately. The new Notebook is also said to be lighter when compared to 2016-Notebook 7. The multi-functional laptop features a 360-degree touchscreen, which can turn and twist to give users a tablet-like feel. Apart from that, the Notebook can also be used as a standard laptop and hence caters to all types of customers.
One of the highlights of the Notebook is that it includes a fingerprint sensor for authentication, which will work with Windows Hello security suite. The fingerprint scanner will be embedded in the power button, which will be placed on the side.
On the specifications front, the Notebook 7 Spin is available only in one variant with a 13.3-inch 1080p display. At the heart, there is an 8th-generation Intel Core i5 processor coupled with 8GB of RAM and a 256GB storage. Samsung says that the laptop comes with an improved battery life as well. The company claims that the Notebook 7 Spin can last all day on a single charge. The laptop also comes with one port each for USB-C, USB 3.0, USB 2.0, and HDMI.
Samsung has announced that the Notebook 7 Spin will be available within the first months of 2018 after its official unveiling at CES 2018 next week. Unfortunately, the company has not yet revealed pricing details of the Notebook.
