Dell Venue 7 and Venue 8 Intel Atom-powered Android tablets launched in India for Rs 10,999 and Rs 17,499

Dell has launched two new tablets in India called the Venue 7 and the Venue 8. These Intel Atom-powered Android tablets are priced at Rs 10,999 and Rs 17,499 respectively.

Talking of specifications, the Venue 7 flaunts a 7-inch (1200×800 pixels) display and is powered by an Intel Atom Z2760 dual-core processor clocked at 1.6GHz and paired with 2GB of RAM. Other features include a 3-megapixel rear camera, VGA front camera, 16GB of internal storage that can be expanded up to 32GB using a microSD card and a 4,100mAh battery, which the company claims is good enough to survive 10 hours of HD video playback. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS and on the software front, it runs on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean.

The Venue 8, on the other hand, flaunts an 8-inch (1280×800 pixels) display and it too is powered by an Intel Atom Z2760 dual-core processor clocked at 1.6GHz and paired with 2GB of RAM. Other features include a 5-megapixel rear camera with support for 1080p video recording, 2-megapixel front camera, 16GB of internal storage that can be expanded up to 32GB using a microSD card and a similar 4,100mAh battery.

Connectivity options on the Venue 8 include optional 3G support, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS and on the software front, it runs on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean.
