Online music players are strengthening their grip in the mobile sphere by becoming platform agnostic and easily accessible to the mobile users as the number of smartphone users grow by leaps and bounds. India still holds a large number of feature phone users. Considering this, online music service provider Dhingana, after registering a whooping 3.5 million downloads for its mobile application, has launched its mobile website. With this move, Dhingana is aiming to register a larger audience in the upcoming days.
While the Dhingana app is already available on most of the app stores of various platforms, this mobile website will allow even the feature phone users to get hold of the music from the mobile website and make accessing and downloading of songs an easier task for them.
Through the mobile web service, music buffs can navigate through its library of more than 500,000 Bollywood as well as other Indian tracks available in 38 languages. These songs can be streamed for free from the website.
A few days back online music portal Gaana.com also released its mobile application on various platforms, which clearly shows that streamed music is going to be a big trend.
