Dyson Cyclone V10 Absolute Pro, a premium cordless vacuum cleaner, has been launched in India. The UK-based Dyson entered India with the launch of its V8 vacuum cleaner and Pure Cool Air Purifier early this year. Now, the company is expanding its product portfolio to offer the new Dyson Cyclone V10 vacuum cleaner and the updated Pure Cool Link air purifier to Indian consumers.
For Dyson, the vacuum cleaner remains the biggest product in its portfolio and with the V10, the company is going all in on the idea of cordless vacuum cleaners. The new Dyson V10 is the most powerful vacuum cleaner the company has ever designed and houses a new digital motor that spins at 1,25,000 revolutions per minute. In comparison to older Dyson V8, the motor is 13 percent more powerful and also significantly more efficient. Dyson says its automated assembly unit in Singapore is capable of producing one motor every 2.6 seconds.
Dyson says it has been working on the development of new motor for nearly five years while the design of V10 commenced two years later. The Dyson Cyclone V10 Absolute Pro Vacuum Cleaner has an output power of 525 Watts and offers constant suction power. The bagless vacuum cleaner has fourteen cyclones arranged around the axis of the machine with ten on the exterior and four on the interior.
The array of fourteen cyclones allows for airflow at up to 190 kilometers per hour and is capable of separating dust particles up to a size of 0.3 micron from the air. The company says the new V10 has been designed based on user feedback. One of the biggest changes is that Dyson engineers rotates the cyclones and bin assembly through 90 degrees for an in-line configuration. The bin also uses more rigid polycarbonate material and has an ejection system based on point and shoot mechanism that disposes dust directly onto your dustbin, without having to touch it.
Another key change is in areas like charging time and overall run time of the machine. The new Dyson V10 comes with a denser battery pack that takes around three and a half hours for a full charge and lasts up to 60 minutes. This is markedly better than 40 minutes run time of Dyson V8 and charging time of 5 hours. Dyson engineers also combined the pre and post-motor filters around the motor that offers improved filtration and makes it easier to clean the filter.

The vacuum cleaner also comes with 7 additional tools for specific applications like cleaning mattress, crevices, upholstery among others. These tools and the powerful motors makes Dyson V10 equivalent to a full-size corded vacuum cleaner.
