Energizer has certainly caught the attention at MWC 2018 with the launch of its new lineup of Android smartphones. The most noteworthy of these smartphones is the Power Max P16K Pro boasting a 16,000mAh battery. And now this series apparently is ready to come in India.
According to Digit, Energizer is bringing five of these smartphones to India, with the first phase of launch taking place in May 2018. The publication reports Energizer’s Manish Prasad, Executive Sales Director for Asia as saying.
Energizer’s portfolio includes its ‘Hardcase’ series, which are ruggedly built, the ‘Energy’ range of 2G/4G feature phones, and the mid-range Power Max series.
Reportedly, Energizer will start with the ‘Hardcase’ lineup of phones in India. The company recently launched a device in this series, called the Hardcase H590S. It sports a full HD+ display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 on top, and is powered by a MediaTek Helio P23 chipset coupled with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage along with dual cameras on both sides. The Hardcase lineup will be launched in May in India.
This will be followed by the ‘Energy’ lineup, which includes both smartphones and feature phones. The phones are all IP68/67 rated water and dust resistant. Reportedly, the feature phone in the series will be splash proof, which is not common, and will have 2G/4G support.
Three months after that, the report says, Energizer will launch the ‘Power Max’ series which will be priced between Rs 15,000-Rs 20,000. The Power Max series includes the new 16,000mAh battery-powered P16K Pro.
