Evernote acquires Skitch; launches Android, Mac apps

Evernote has announced the acquisition of popular image annotation app Skitch and has consequently launched the Skitch app for Android and Mac users. When you launch Skitch, you get three options – Take an image or Load an image from the gallery or Start with a blank canvas. The application will then let you make explanatory or critical notes on your images, like drawing an arrow in the image above or probably write something on it. You can then post the annotated images directly to social platforms like Facebook via this app. Now you can also drag images stored on your Evernote app, annotate them using Skitch and drop them back to Evernote. The Skitch app for Android and Mac users is available for free from Android Marketplace and iTunes.
