Evernote hits 1 million users in India
Evernote has announced that it has crossed 1million users in India. Ever since its inception in 2008, Evernote has consistently been adding features to the service.
With its ubiquitous presence across mobile platforms as well as the desktop, it has seen an uptake of users as people not just take notes but capture and add images, organize files, and find information about various things as well. Moreover, mobile users use it to clip webpages, snap photos using their mobile phones, create to-do list, and record audio as well as accessing notes on devices by synchronizing with the Evernote web services.
With a global user base of 50 million, India accounts for a million users for Evernote. The service has come out with some information on its user base that suggests that it adds an average of 92,000 users per month in India, which is based on the data from the last three months.
Evernote claims that now it has three times the amount of users as it had a year ago and twelve time the amount of users from two years ago.
According to the company most of its users are on Android, followed by Evernote Web and Evernote Windows respectively. As it is basically a note taking service, it has stated that most of the notes in India have been created on Windows, while Android follows closely.
