Galaxy Star spotted on Samsung India website, features a 3-inch display and runs on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean

About a month back, Samsung had announced the Galaxy Star, along with another entry-level phone called the Galaxy Pocket Neo. Today, the folks at FoneArena have spotted the Galaxy Star listed on Samsung India’s website, though there is still no mention of a price.

As we had reported earlier, the Dual-SIM Galaxy Star sports a 3-inch QVGA TFT LCD display and is powered by a 1GHz processor and 512MB RAM. The phone also includes features like a 2-megapixel rear camera, 4GB of internal storage which is expandable using the microSD card slot to up to 32GB, connectivity options like Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.0 and a 1,200mAH battery. On the software side of things, the Galaxy Star runs on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean wrapped under Samsung’s TouchWiz UI.

We can expect the Galaxy Star to be launched in the coming days and priced similar to other recently launched entry-level phones like the Galaxy Y Plus and Galaxy Young.
