A better photograph of Google co-founder, Sergey Brin, sporting the Project Glass prototype has emerged, courtesy of photographer and blogger, Thomas Hawk. Brin is seen wearing a glassless frame at a charity dinner with the prototype attached to its right stem.
The glass is thicker than the PR images from Thursday, though it seems that it just houses an LCD display. A camera (or what seems to be one) can be spotted on the right of the glass. To be frank, the entire assembly reminds me of those Oakley glasses from yesteryear’s that had a Bluetooth headset attached to them. We hope to see a working demo of Project Glass at this year’s Google I/O.
Nevertheless, it certainly is reassuring to know that Brin is enjoying being the nerd-at-residence at Google while his co-founder, Larry Page, handles all the boring stuff like writing this letter. Hit the break to get a closer look at the prototype.
