Gionee Elife E6 India launch scheduled for October 3


Chinese mobile giant Gionee is all set to launch the Elife E6 smartphone in India and has sent out invites for a launch event on October 3. The phone flaunts a OGS display with 1080p resolution. Gionee Elife E6 is already getting raving reviews in China, and will further intensify the competition against indigenous vendors like Micromax and others.

In terms of specs, the phone comes with a 5-inch full HD Display with 1080p resolution and pixel density of 441 ppi, and comes with a unibody design. Software-wise, the phone is most likely to run on Android version 4.2 Jelly Bean. The hardware is powered by a 1.5GHz quad-core ARM Cortex-A7 processor which is coupled with 2GB of RAM. It has about 31GB of internal storage but has no microSD card slot.

In terms of the multimedia features, the phone sports a 13-megapixel rear camera with 5-element lens and is capable of recording full HD videos at 1080p, and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. Besides this, there is a non-removable 2020mAh Battery, wireless connectivity support for Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, 3G and GPS, and sensors like motion sensor along with gesture controls.

    Is it really cortex A7 processor? As apart from your site all other site are saying it runs on 1.5 media tek quad core processor? ? Well I belive we have to wait till the phone released in Indian market

    Dear amit.. A7 cortex define the microstructure on which it is based or design… Basically cortex A7 is too old but at this price range with overclocked processing speed from 1.2ghz to 1.5ghz.. This is OK and rest 2GB ram will handle..I don’t know which ram they are using but I think it should be DDR3 or better for quick response …

    what about the non-removable battery? batteries are expected to last only 1/1.5 years?
