Towards the end of last year, Gionee launched the Elife E7 mini alongside the Elife E7, though it has yet to make the device available in India. Now though, the mini device is available online on Indian e-commerce websites for Rs 19,500, which is Rs 500 more than the official launch price.
The two talking points on the Elife E7 mini are the processor and the camera. It is powered by an octa-core MediaTek MT6592 processor clocked at 1.7GHz and paired with 1GB of RAM. On the photography front, instead of two cameras it has a 13-megapixel camera on a swivel, which can be rotated to click proper photos as well as selfies.
The smartphone also features a 4.7-inch 720p display, 16GB of internal storage, a 2,100mAh battery and connectivity options like dual-SIM card slots, 3G support, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0 and NFC. On the software front, it runs on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean wrapped under Gionee’s Amigo UI.
Our first impressions were quite positive as it offers a lot of bang for the buck. You can read our hands-on post here.
