Gionee P3 budget quad-core Android smartphone launched in India for Rs 7,499

Last week, a new smartphone from Gionee called the P3 was spotted online. Today, the company has officially launched the device in India with a price tag of Rs 7,499.

Talking of specifications, the P3 sports a 4.3-inch WVGA (800×480 pixels) display and is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core Cortex A7 SoC paired with Mali 400MP GPU and 512MB of RAM. Other features include a 5-megapixel rear camera with auto focus and LED flash, VGA front camera, 4GB of internal storage that can be expanded to up to 32GB using a microSD card, and a 1,700mAh battery which the company claims is good enough to survive 8-12 hours of talktime and 10-12 days on standby mode.

Connectivity options include dual-SIM card slots, 3G support, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and on the software front, it runs on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean. With the above mentioned specs and price tag, the Gionee P3 will face some competition from the likes of Xolo Q600 among others.
