The biggest social media trend of last weekend was people seeking their ancient lookalikes with Google’s Arts and Culture app. Although the app’s almost two years old, Google rolled out a new feature that compares your selfies to works of art found in museums, and that has been hitting off on social media over the past few days.

Simply click a selfie, or take someone else’s photograph using the app, and Google will compare it to thousands of pieces of artwork, and deliver you a selection of possible doppelgängers. While for some people the results were unbelievably uncanny; for some, hilarious is an understatement. Fortunately, these people have shared their results on social media.

Like he says, have your ever gotten roasted by an app

The app quickly climbed up the charts after this feature was rolled out. However, what makes this trend really interesting is that the feature is still in a testing phase and Google said that it was an experiment as of now, and is available only in parts of the US right now.

Aside from this new feature, Google’s arts app is fairly useful and informative, and offers users a way to view exhibits from over 1,200 international museums, galleries and institutions around the world. The app also supports virtual reality headsets.
