Google Currents now hits version 2.0 on iOS

Google has updated its Currents news aggregator app on iOS. The app now has hit version 2.0. Additionally, the company has also updated its YouTube Capture app, which now supports video uploads at 1080p resolutions.

With the latest update to Google Currents there are a few UI updates. It gets a new sidebar for sorting editions by category and ease of access. Fresh controls let you swipe vertically to scan editions and horizontally for skipping editions. There is also a new catalog design, Google News’ breaking stories and you can also save articles by labeling them with stars.

YouTube Capture is updated to version 1.1, which allows you to upload videos in 1080p. Besides this users can get details on their uploads, and Google has added better audio syncing and there are numerous bug fixes for stability.
