It’s India’s 64th Republic Day and so it’s apt that Google has a doodle to celebrate the event. The doodle features a collage of India’s national symbols – The Tiger, lotus flower and India Gate where the parade also ends.
A large Tiger currently punctuates the Google homepage, but once we take a closer look, multiple lotus flowers can be seen along with an image of India Gate.
This is the third year in the running that Google is commemorating India’s Republic day. In 2012 the doodle featured depictions of National Bravery award winning children riding elephants.
In 2010, the doodle basically depicted three ‘Contrails’ in the India tri-colors produced by fighter jets.
