Google rolls out offline editing for Google Slides
Are you one of the many people who have to work while on the move? After Google made your life simpler by allowing offline editing of its Docs, it today announced the same capabilities for the Slides too.
Users can now create, edit, comment and present without being tethered to the internet and all these changes will be automatically updated the next time one goes online. For this function to work you will have to enable the offline editing option for Docs. The step-by-step instructions on how to enable this function is available on the Google blog.
The offline functionality like ‘Documents’ only works in the Google Chrome browser or on a ChromeBook running Chrome OS.
This function is slowly being rolled out to users around the world and Google also mentioned that in the meanwhile they are working on extending this function to Google Sheets.
