Google has started rolling out a Chrome update that brings “OK Google” voice search across the desktop browser and in Chrome OS. The company has posted on Google+ that users must try out the voice search feature addition in Chrome browser and OS to enhance their experience. Google had introduced the feature in its Chrome Beta in February, and has finally now launched it for all the users.
Those on Chrome can simply open a new tab in Chrome and say “OK Google” to start a voice search, unlike earlier a user would have to click on the microphone icon in Google’s search bar to use voice search option. One can now simple give voice commands to the search engine to input search queries, and it will recognize the voice command and navigate them to the searched results.
The feature is active for Chrome users in the US for now, and is expected to roll it out globally sooner than later.
