GOSF 2012 kicks off with great deals on smartphones and tablets

The Great Online Shopping Festival (GSOF) has officially kicked off and we are searching for the best deals in electronics out there. Surprisingly Flipkart, eBay, Saholic and the usual suspects don’t have any extraordinary deals to offer. We were quite surprised by Indiatimes and HomeShop18, that are offering discounts going up to Rs 7,000 in some cases on cameras, smartphones and electronics! We were able to spot the HTC 8X for under Rs 31,000 and even get the iPad mini way below its street price. The more expensive the gadget, the higher is the discount on both of these sites.

GOSF has been organized by Google India in association with some of the biggest online retailers in India. It is applicable for just 24 hours today (December 12, 2012). We are already seeing some of the best gadgets going out of stock so if you have any particular smartphone or tablet in mind, do check it out right away. Don’t forget to share with us your favorite deal in comments below.

UPDATE: The folks at MySmartPrice have compiled a list of some of the best deals available on smartphones and tablets. Check it out here.

It would have much been better if google had provide a search option. Like if I am searching iPad mini … best deal should be provided in results

No Great deals. I wonder why did Goggle organised such a crap event, instead Google wold have sold it’s Nexus mobiles and Tables in US price which would have been a real shopping festival for Indian Customers.

Even i was looking forward to that…!!

Coupon Aggregators like like http://www.coupongaadi.com had listed more discount coupons than the one that were at GOSF. Google lost a very good chance of being the flag bearer by allowing retailers to share a paltry discount. And not to forget the flipkart episode! That was Cheap!
