Honor 9 Lite, the successor to last year’s Honor 8 Lite, went up for its first flash sale today in India. Available exclusively through Flipkart, the smartphone was quick to go out of stock soon after listing at 12 noon. If you were unable to buy the phone today, you can wait until January 23 when it will again be available for purchase.
The first flash sale coincides with Flipkart’s Republic Day sale which starts today and runs until January 23. Flipkart is offering a range of discounts and offers across categories.
As for the Honor 9 Lite, it was first launched in China late last year and boasts 18:9 display, dual cameras and Android 8.0 Oreo running out-of-the-box as its USP. It is available in two storage choices in India, the 3GB RAM + 32GB model carries a price of Rs 10,999, while the 4GB RAM +64GB model is priced at Rs 14,999.
Honor 9 Lite specifications
Honor 9 Lite sports a 5.65-inch full-HD+ (1080×2160 pixels) resolution and an 18:9 aspect ratio. Under the hood, HiSilicon Kirin 659 SoC is clocked at 2.36GHz and paired with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage, which is expandable up to 128GB via microSD card.
For optics, the phone features dual-camera setups at the back as well as the front. The setup includes a combination of 13-megapixel primary sensor and a 2-megapixel secondary sensor. The rear camera comes with PDAF autofocus and LED flash.
The smartphone is fueled by a 3,000mAh battery, which Honor claims can deliver up to 20 hours of talktime on 3G, and a standby time of up to 24 days. Connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth, GPS/ A-GPS, 3.5mm audio jack, and micro-USB with OTG support. On the software front, the phone runs EMUI 8.0, based on Android 8.0 Oreo out-of-the-box.
