Along with the Honor 10 smartphone, Huawei’s sub-brand also launched the new Honor MagicBook, a sleek and portable ultrabook. Weighing just 1.47kg, the MagicBook comes with a 14-inch display. And as the name suggests, the laptop draws its design inspirations from Apple’s MacBook Air. It is notably the first laptop under Honor branding.

The Honor MagicBook will be offered in Glacier Silver, Nebula Purple and Star Grey color options, and two different configurations. The base model with Intel i5 process will set you back by RMB 4,999, which is approximately Rs 52,500, whereas the top-end model with Intel i7 is priced at RMB 5,699, which is roughly Rs 59,800. Pre-orders for the MagicBook start today, whereas the first sale will take place on April 23. However, there is no word on whether or not Honor plans to bring the ultrabook to India.

The Ultrabook sports a 14-inch Full HD display, and the display lid is designed in a way to open up to 180 degrees. The full-size keyboard comes with a back light, has 1.3mm travel, and it is surrounded by speakers on both the sides.
At the heart of the Honor MagicBook runs Intel’s 8th generation Core i5 processor with 8GB of RAM and 256GB storage for the base model. The top-end model, on the other hand, is powered by Core i7 processor paired with 8GB of RAM and 256GB storage. Both also feature NVIDIA GeForce MX150 2GB discrete graphics solutions.
To avoid overheating, Honor has also made some optimizations to the design. On a single charge, Honor says, the battery can last for more than 10 hours. What’s more, the Ultrabook comes with Dolby Atmos sound system, Windows 10 operating system, and a new feature called Magic-Link that can automatically lock or unlock your laptop based on your smartphone’s location.
