Honor is today gearing up to launch its Honor Play smartphone in India. The launch kicks off at 11:45AM today, and the Huawei sub-brand will be live streaming the entire event online. Ahead of the launch, the Honor Play’s availability details have surfaced online.
Post the launch today, the Honor Play will be exclusively available via Amazon India. As per a tweet by the company, the sale will commence at 4:00PM. While there is no word yet, buyers will no doubt be able to take advantage of a few launch day offers during the sale today.

With the Honor Play having been launched in China, only its India pricing remains a mystery. To recap, the smartphone’s 4GB RAM variant retails at RMB 1,999 (approximately Rs 21,300), while the 6GB RAM variant retails at RMB 2,399 (approximately Rs 24,300). We can expect the Indian price tag to be around the same range.

Honor Play specifications, features
As far as the specifications are concerned, the Honor Play will feature a 6.3-inch HD+ display with an aspect ratio of 19.5:9. Under the hood will be a Kirin 970 SoC, and there will be 64GB of internal storage on both variants.
For photography, the device features a dual-camera setup (16-megapixel+2-megapixel) at the back, and a 16-megapixel selfie camera up front. Making sure everything ticks is a 3,750mAh battery.
Connectivity options include dual-SIM card slots, 4G VoLTE support, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, NFC, GPS with A-GPS, and a USB Type-C port. On the software front, the device runs Android 8.1 Oreo layered with EMUI 8.1 on top.
