Huawei sub-brand Honor launched View10 smartphone in India in January. The smartphone was launched in two variants. The base variant comes with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage, while the high-end variant comes with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. While that was enough to get the View10 good reviews, Honor is further pushing its performance by introducing an 8GB RAM variant of the smartphone.
According to PlayfulDroid, Honor announced recently that it will be launching an 8GB RAM + 128GB storage variant of the Honor View10 in China. The smartphone pricing hasn’t been revealed yet, but it’s set to go on sale on August 14 in the country. That said, there has been no word about the new variant coming to India or any other markets at the moment.
With 8GB of RAM, there is no doubt that the Honor View10 will deliver a much better performance with games and multi-tasking between applications. The smartphone is also set to get Huawei’s new GPU Turbo technology, which is said to improve gaming performance even further, while helping to reduce battery consumption.
Honor View10 features and specifications
The Honor View10 features a 5.99-inch display with Full HD+ resolution of 2160×1080 pixels and an aspect ratio of 18:9. It comes powered by the company’s own HiSilicon Kirin 970 SoC and a 3,750mAh battery. Along with the internal storage, it also features an expandable storage of 256GB via a microSD card.

In the photography department, the Honor View10 comes equipped with a dual rear camera setup, which consists of a primary 16-megapixel RGB color sensor and a secondary 20-megapixel monochrome sensor. Above that, the camera also supports AI functions that can identify the scene and adjust settings accordingly. Upfront, there is a 13-megapixel selfie camera which boasts f/2.0 aperture and supports portrait mode and beautification features. Connectivity options on the Honor View10 include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, NFC and 4G LTE. The smartphone runs on Android 8.0 Oreo layered with EMUI 8.0 UI.
