Yesterday, Huawei’s sub-brand Honor announced that it is coming up with its second quad-camera smartphone, which will be officially launched by end of this month. Continuing teasing, the company has now shared a little peek into the design language of the upcoming smartphone. Honor has revealed that the new smartphone will come with a glass unibody.
Honor says that the new smartphone will be equipped with a sleek looking glass unibody with mirror effect rear glass, similar to what has been seen in smartphones like Honor 8 and Honor 9, and Apple’s iPhone X.
When teasing the device yesterday, Honor also assured that it will place the teased smartphone in an affordable category. Much like the Honor 9i, which is priced at Rs 17,999, and was Honor’s first smartphone to come with two sets of dual-camera setups.
For that matter, the Honor 9i was also the company’s first device to feature a FullView display. If we do a quick recall, the Honor 9i sports a combination of 13-megapixel and 2-megapixel front cameras. The front cameras were equipped with smart selfie tone flash, which adjusts the lighting required while taking a photo. At the rear, the smartphone houses a 16-megapixel and 2-megapixel dual-camera setup.
As for specifications, the Honor 9i is powered by in-house Kirin 659 octa-core SoC clocked at 2.36GHz paired with 4GB of RAM, and 64GB of internal storage, which is further expandable via a microSD card. Fueling the device is a 3,340mAh battery. On the software front, the smartphone runs Android 7.0 Nougat with EMUI 5.1 based on top.
