How to configure Google voice search to let you “call mom” on Android smartphones

Google has released a new feature in its voice search that understands your relationships with contacts in your phonebook. The feature can be enabled on voice search where you can assign contacts in your phonebook as mom, dad, girlfriend and so on. To enable this voice action feature click on the mic icon on the search bar and ask it to call any name apart from those already stored on your phonebook. For instance, you can ask it to “call mom,” which will prompt voice search to give it access to your device contacts. Follow the instructions and then you can say any keyword and assign it to a contact.
