When Google launched the Nexus 5 running on Android 4.4 KitKat, we got the first glimpse at Google’s Experience Launcher. This new launcher was exclusive to the Nexus 5 and had Google Now as the hub on the homescreen with all information laid out in a card format. Now it seems Google is easing the exclusivity and other Android smartphone users could soon install this launcher on their devices.

When they updated the Google Search app, the folks at Droid-Life noticed that the Google Experience Launcher had been renamed to Google Now Launcher. More than just being a change in the nomenclature, what this indicates it that Google is likely to soon introduce this launcher on other devices. The name Google Now Launcher is frankly more apt considering Google Now is at the center of everything.

Though the new launcher is not officially available on the Play Store, you can follow these steps to install the launcher on your phones.

1. Install the latest GoogleHome.apk from the Nexus 5. [Download Link]
