Unfazed by competition in the fast-growing entry-level smartphone space by homegrown brands like Micromax, Karbonn and others. “We will have smartphones in the sub-Rs 10,000 segment but we won’t play in the Rs 5,000-Rs 7,000 market,” Siddiqui said. Adding, “We want to offer consumers with quality products and not just play on price.”

HTC has not launched any tablet after it launched the Flyer in 2011 and the company does not intend launch another tablet at the moment. “Tablets are hyper-competitive segment and we don’t want to launch something that isn’t unique and we get the pricing right,” Siddiqui told BGR India.
