HTC One (M8) unboxing video leaked by retailer, goes on sale unofficially for $1,000 ahead of launch

HTC’s upcoming flagship device, the One (M8), might be a few hours away from launch, but it seems like one of the online retailers in US has it on sale already. In order to prove it actually has the units, the retailer has also posted an unboxing video.

The retailer in question, Welectronics, has listed the all new HTC One (M8) on its website at $999.99 and is ready to ship, GSMArena reports. This is unlikely to be the official launch price and the retailer is probably trying to encash on exclusively having the phone. Earlier reports suggest that the One (M8) would go on sale in the US and UK immediately after the launch event.

The specs mentioned of the device include a 5-inch full HD 1080p display, a quad-core Snapdragon 801 processor and 2GB of RAM, a 5-megapixel primary camera, and a non-removable 2,600mAh battery. Earlier today, Canadian carrier Rogers revealed the complete specifications of the HTC One (M8). Another leak today had the One (M8) compared to last year’s One in a detailed hands-on video.

Now, if you are too eager to lay your hands on the One, you can check out the listing or otherwise wait for the official launch that’s just a few hours away. The unit on sale seems to the Verizon version, which is unlikely to work outside the US.
