HTC had sent out media invites recently for the launch of its next U series smartphone. The event will take place in Taipei on November 2, and all bets are on the launch of the HTC U 11 Plus. Successor the HTC U11 launched earlier this year, the U11 Plus is expected to come with notable upgrades. An HTC smartphone has now been spotted on benchmarking website GFXBench with specifications hinting at the HTC U11 Plus.
According to the GFXBench listing, the alleged HTC U11 Plus will run the latest Android 8.0 Oreo with an unspecified SenseUI on top. The smartphone will feature a 6-inch QHD+ display. It will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 SoC clocked at 2.4GHz paired with Adreno 540 GPU for graphics. The rumored HTC U11 Plus will come with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage.
In the photography department, the HTC U11 Plus is listed with the same specifications as the U11. At the rear, the smartphone sports a 12-megapixel camera and an 8-megapixel camera up front. Prior to this, an HTC smartphone was spotted on Geekbench as well with the same set of specifications.
Past rumors and leaks suggest that the U11 Plus will feature a similar design as that of the U11 but with an edge-to-edge display up front. With an expected display size of 6-inch, it will possibly have 18:9 aspect ratio. The smartphone is expected to be available in two color options of Brilliant Black and Amazing Silver.
