In a very recent tweet, HTC India has announced that its flagship, HTC U11, will be receiving the new Android Oreo update on January 30. The company posted on its official Twitter account earlier this evening, teasing “more awesomness” on the smartphone. This news comes particularly for HTC U11 users in India, since in the US, the update started to roll out back in November.

As has been revealed by HTC’s VP of Product Management, Mo Versi, in the past, the company will be releasing Android Oreo update for more smartphones including the HTC 10, HTC U Ultra and HTC U11 Life.
It isn’t clear what additional features HTC U11 users get with the Android Oreo update, but it’s known that it is clear though that the users will get to experience these Android Oreo features including the popular ones include Picture-in-Picture mode, which allows you to watch a video and use another app at the same time.
Android Oreo will also bring access to features like Notification Dots, Notification Channels, Android Instant Apps, and Autofill for passwords.
HTC U11 users will also get Oreo’s feature that limits the smartphone’s background activity for the least used apps. Android Oreo will also optimize the smartphone to save battery.
