The HTC Ville has reared its head yet again in a series of blurrycam photos from a Japanese site Ameblo. Last week, the handset was seen in a hands-on video making an unofficial debut, running Android 4.0 aka Ice Cream Sandwich along with HTC’s Sense UI 4.0. While it was rumored to be 8mm thick (thinner than the iPhone 4S), the current specs sheet suggest that this will definitely be HTC’s thinnest smartphone but will be a bit thicker than our original expectations and should measure 8.9mm at its thinnest. The leaked specs include a dual-core 1.5Ghz Qualcomm S4 processor, a 4.3-inch AMOLED qHD display (540×960 pixels) and a 1650 mAh battery. It will house an 8.0MP shooter capable of recording 1080p HD videos, a 3.0MP front-facing camera and of course, Beats audio processing.
Just for a bit of history, we had first exclusively reported about the existence of the HTC Ville back in November last year. Considering that we have one hands-on video, a few images that show pretty much the rear and front of the device and almost all the major specs we need, it is now going to be hard for HTC to excite us with new details. The Taiwanese vendor will most likely announce the Ville at its press conference on February 26 at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona.
